Meet Up Groups are a great way to meet new people, maybe find new dance
partners and to get out for a good time. Meet-up groups normally get together once a month (or more often) for lessons,
dancing, or just talk... maybe even a bar-b-que! It is up to the group
leader to decide what the group would like to do.
If you've taken group lessons at a dance studio, you know that there are people
there at all levels, making the learning process slower. With your meet-up
group you can find people at essentially the same level, and have a
'private' group lesson, normally for less money than the public ones. That's
because you can generally hire an hours instruction for $65-$75 per hour,
and most places will allow up to 10 participants. That comes to $7.50
each, where the public group lessons are usually $10-15 per person. (In
some areas the price of both private and public lessons might be higher, but
you get the idea; and to attract your group to their establishment, some
studios or clubs may be willing to give your group special pricing. (If

the word through this site!)
Find and join a group with your own interests in your city today! If a
group doesn't currently exist there, why not start one... its easy, and
its FREE!
If you aren't the leader type, at least 'leave your card' saying that you
would be interested in joining a group of your interest should one be
formed by someone else.
The Secret... Dance venues, studios and clubs would Love to
have your group come to their establishments for your meet-ups; keep that
in mind and maybe you can negotiate some 'perks' for your group!
